Jack Harrison-Quintana - Grindr for Equality (Director)
Jack Harrison-Quintana is a queer Mexican-American author, activist, and researcher currently serving as the director of Grindr for Equality. Hailing from Signal Mountain, Tennessee, Jack earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Georgetown University in DC, which he still calls home. His journey in gender and sexuality-based activism began at his southern all-male high school, where he was immersed in a particularly glorified masculinity. When he came out at fourteen, he was immediately ushered into a diverse community of LGBT people that included LGBT people across the spectrum of identities. This initiated his path to prioritizing activist goals that were inclusive of trans people and issues as well as those impacting LGBT women and people of color. He’s presented workshops in over thirty-five countries on all six inhabited continents.
